Accommodations

The layout of the Gulfstar Hirsh 45 center cockpit sloop is perfect for extended cruising or live-aboard. The owner’s stateroom has a centerline double berth with private head and shower stall.  The forward cabin has a large V-berth with separate head.  The main salon has two settees, one converts to a double bed.  On the starboard side is a chart/electronics table and a walk-though to the large owner stateroom.

Galley

A large well equipped U-shaped galley provides secure space for preparing meals while passage making or at anchor.

Huge new 12-volt refrigerator and condenser, 2-burner propane stove with oven, microwave, and extra lighting make the galley an easy place to work.

Refit 2020

RAM Marina Rio Dulce, Guatemala, haul out  25th July, 2020.

July 25th, 1st Mast pulled and stored.  Boat pulled and blocked ready for deck work (Gell Coat $6802 estimate.) Mast stripped by John, ready for sandblasting.

August: Boat moved to paint shed for a new deck coat. Mast sandblasted and primed.( estimate for all mast work $2400)

September: Hull prep for painting (Awlgrip $6686 estimate) Awlgrip application started. New Cutlass bearing for the Shaft by  Chris  Wooley. New packing in shaft stuffing box.

October: boat moved into yard for rudder support modification, and removing old bushing and rotten wood in stringers, stainless steel sleeve and new Delrin bushing, by Saul ( estimate $1932).

November: Boat lifted and modified rudder post put in place. Several blisters removed and filled with epoxy and FG strands and barrier coated. Water line raised 4 inches.  One coat of primer over entire bottom. Finally 2 coats of Trinidad 75 1076 red antifouling 4 gallons (estimate $3351).

Boat splashed February 5th.

New Rigging ordered by Tom local rigger, (Materials $2000).

February 8th, new standing Rigging and some running rigging placed on mast and new mast boot all by Tom the rigger.

New Upper rudder bearing and aluminum support structure, fabricated by Cesar.

New emergency telescopic tiller with swivel joint Aluminum, fabricated by Cesar..

New stainless steel security entrance, fabricated by Cesar..

All new wiring for inside mast, new windex, new Raymarine Anemometer and transducer, new Navigation lights on mast.
